Ensuring compliance with safety rules for our employees and all subcontractors is our top priority. We want every person working in our plant to always return home healthy. Therefore, we attach great importance to all actions ensuring the safety of employees, such as identifying and managing threats, implementing standards and good practices, or training employees.

At the ODRA Cement Plant, we often move around in vehicles. To ensure the safety of employees and drivers, we have introduced rules for vehicle movement within the plant premises. Before entering the Cement Plant area, familiarize yourself with them.

  1. It is absolutely necessary to comply with the general traffic regulations on the premises of the ODRA Cement Plant.

  2. Permissible speed - 15 km/h. 15km

  3. Exceeding the permissible speed is recorded by an electronic speed measurement system.

  4. Mandatory use of daytime running lights or low beam lights while driving.

  5. Prohibition of using mobile phones while driving.

  6. Prohibition of smoking tobacco products in vehicles.

  7. It is forbidden to block fire roads and entrances/exits to buildings by unattended vehicles.

  8. Vehicles left unattended must have the engine turned off and the parking brake engaged.

  9. It is forbidden to drive tracked vehicles on internal roads with bituminous surfaces.

  10. During the stay of drivers on the cement plant premises, due to, among others, the mandatory break in driving (tachograph indications), it is forbidden to consume, as well as to bring onto the premises, alcoholic beverages and/or other substances impairing consciousness.

    RULES FOR DELIVERY VEHICLE DRIVERS

  11. Drivers of vehicles collecting cement and delivering raw materials and production supplies are required to have and use:

    • safety glasses;
    • helmet – tanker drivers use a helmet with a chin strap;
    • reflective vest;
    • long trousers;
    • full footwear.ochrona

      In case of lack of the above personal protective equipment, the ODRA Cement Plant is entitled to impose consequences on the driver in the form of a financial penalty.

      For lack of a warning vest or high-visibility clothing, helmet, glasses, and appropriate work attire – 500 PLN.

      The possession of personal protective equipment by drivers may be checked by:

    • Health and Safety Specialist and Fire Protection Specialist;
    • Production Master;
    • Supervision Inspector;
    • ODRA Cement Plant employee designated by the Production Director or Technical Director.
  12. It is forbidden to enter the plant premises with children or outsiders.

    CEMENT LOADING

  13. Tanker drivers must raise the folding barrier before entering the tanker.
  14. During bulk cement loading, the driver must not leave the loading platform terminal until the loading is completed.

  15. It is forbidden to park on the loading yard closer than 1.5 m from the stored cement pallets.

  16. During bagged cement loading, drivers are required to follow the instructions issued by the Production Department employees.

  17. Drivers of vehicles waiting for bagged cement collection must not stay on the loading ramp or move around the loading yard at will.

  18. During bagged cement loading (pallets), the driver should stay next to the vehicle, in a place where they will not be exposed to hazards associated with loading.

    It is forbidden for the driver to stay on the vehicle's bed during loading.

    DELIVERY OF RAW MATERIALS

  19. Drivers must ensure that no one is in the unloading area during unloading.

  20. It is forbidden to drive with the dump body raised after unloading the material.

  21. The driver is solely responsible for safely performing all activities related to unloading, including: raising and lowering the load body, leveling the heap on the body, cleaning the sides, etc.
