Winners will be selected through a competition, and the works to be evaluated will be devoted to the impact of industry on the environment. A cash prize and a special statue named "Opole marl" will be funded by Odra Cement Plant S.A. The competition will be held annually, starting from the academic year 2023/2024.

The agreement between the institutions was signed on July 27, 2023, by the Vice-Rector for Education and Students of UO, Dr. Izabella Pisarek, Prof. UO, and the President of the Odra Cement Plant S.A., Wojciech Putra.
