The Contemporary Art Gallery, the Opole City Hall, and the ODRA Cement Plant have been promoting the creativity of young artists identifying with Opole and the Opole region in a special way for three years. An example is the Annex project - a competition for young artists showcasing the latest and most valuable projects in the field of visual arts created by young creators.
The main prize is an author's fee and the technical execution of the project in the space of the Annex Gallery GSW. The Contemporary Art Gallery also offers nationwide and local promotion of the winner through available online communication tools.
Each edition of the competition has enjoyed great interest from the audience. The Opole community has many ambitious and young artists, often graduates of artistic studies at the University of Opole, or graduates of the city's High School of Fine Arts, as well as creators from Opole studying in other cities. It is they who, every year, apply to the competition wanting to debut or develop their artistic achievements in the space of a professional exhibition institution, such as the Contemporary Art Gallery in Opole. The main prize is an author's fee funded by the ODRA Cement Plant.
