CSR

The cooperation of vocational schools with representatives of the economy will always be important and current. In line with this idea, on September 6, 2017, the President of the Board of Cement Plant ODRA S.A., Wojciech Putra, signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Stanisław Staszic Vocational School Complex in Opole (formerly the School of Binding Materials in Opole).

This agreement aims to disseminate among the students of Public Technical School No. 7 a broad understanding of chemical knowledge through the organization and conducting of lectures, workshops, and educational trips in the field of cement production and environmental protection, as well as the organization of practical classes and vocational internships for students training in the profession of analytical technician. The first lectures on the extraction and preparation of raw materials for cement production and the reclamation of post-extraction sites are scheduled for October 2017. Further plans also include, among others, familiarization with the technological process of cement production, actions supporting environmental protection, methods of preparing and burning alternative fuels, and the work of the plant's laboratory. All lectures and workshops will be conducted by employees of Cement Plant ODRA S.A. who have many years of professional experience and are specialists in their fields.
