In 2016, Cementownia ODRA S.A. transferred to the University of Opole a collection of fossils from the late Turonian epoch of the Late Cretaceous period. Thanks to this, the university enriched its collection with specimens classified as paleontological treasures of the Opole region.

These specimens have been made available to visitors at a permanent exhibition at the Museum of the University of Opole. Among the exhibits are fossils such as some of the largest ammonites in Poland, belemnites, and also large inocerams.
