The artistic installation Guest in the house, God in the house is a commentary on last year's events at the Polish-Belarusian border and bluntly confronts daily declarations with unusual situations. The goal of the Annex competition organized by the Contemporary Art Gallery in Opole, fully sponsored by ODRA S.A. Cement Plant, is to showcase the latest and most valuable projects in the field of visual arts dedicated to the Annex Gallery GSW, created by people associated with Opole and the Opole region.

This year, the jury selected two artistic projects:

• Klaudia Eckert
  for a poetic metaphor that fits the character of the place

and

• Krzysztof Tarnawski
  for presenting a project aptly fitting into the difficult socio-political situation.

In addition, the jury decided to distinguish:

• PINGUINS Group (Natalia Krawczyk and Barbara Szymczak)
  for a bold challenge thrown at nature captured in a coherent performative-scenographic concept

and

• Romuald Jeziorowski
  for a proposal - an artistic manifesto - utilizing the potential of visual arts as a tool for commenting on complex reality.
